For best results, allow the carpet freshener to sit for approximately 15–30 minutes before vacuuming. For a stronger fragrance, you can leave it for longer, provided the product is not left where children or pets can access it.

How much carpet freshener should I use?

A little goes a long way. Use a light, even sprinkling rather than applying a thick layer. Using too much may make it more difficult to vacuum up thoroughly.

Can I use carpet freshener on all carpets?

We recommend testing a small, discreet area first, particularly on delicate, light-coloured or specialist carpets. Do not use on wet or damp carpets, rugs or surfaces that are not suitable for powdered products.

Can I use it on rugs?

It can be used on suitable rugs, but always check the manufacturer's care instructions first and test a small, discreet area before applying more widely.

Can I use carpet freshener on upholstery or furniture?

No. Our carpet freshener is designed specifically for suitable carpeted surfaces. We recommend using our Room & Fabric Spray where appropriate for refreshing suitable fabrics and upholstery.

Is carpet freshener safe around children and pets?

Keep children and pets away from the area while the product is being applied and until it has been thoroughly vacuumed up. Do not allow children or pets to come into contact with or ingest the product.

Can I use carpet freshener if I have pets?

Yes, but extra care should be taken. Keep pets away from the area while applying the product and until it has been completely vacuumed up. Never allow pets to lick, eat or come into direct contact with the powder.

Can carpet freshener remove stains or dirt?

Our carpet freshener is designed to refresh and fragrance your carpets, rather than act as a stain remover or carpet cleaner. For stains or deep cleaning, use a suitable carpet-cleaning product.

How often can I use carpet freshener?

You can use it whenever your carpets need a fragrance refresh. The frequency will depend on your personal preference and how often your carpets are used.

How should I store my carpet freshener?

Keep the container tightly closed and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

What if I accidentally spill carpet freshener?

Vacuum up the product thoroughly and avoid adding water until all of the powder has been removed. If the product comes into contact with an unsuitable surface, follow the relevant manufacturer's cleaning instructions.
