FAQ - Wax Melts

Frequently Asked Questions – Wax Melts

How do I use your wax melts?

Place your chosen amount of wax melt into the dish of a suitable wax burner.

If using a tealight burner, place an unscented tealight underneath and allow the wax to gently melt and release its fragrance. Never add water and never leave a lit burner unattended.

Once you can no longer smell the fragrance, allow the wax to cool completely before removing and replacing it.

How long do wax melts last?

Fragrance time will vary depending on the scent, amount of wax used and your burner.

You can remelt the same wax several times until you can no longer smell the fragrance — there’s no need to replace it after every use.

How do I remove used wax from my burner?

Allow the wax to cool and fully solidify before removing it. You can gently pop the wax out once it has cooled. Never use sharp objects or excessive force, as this could damage your burner.

Can I mix different wax melt scents?

Yes! You can experiment with different fragrances to create your own scent combinations. We recommend starting with small amounts so you can find a combination you enjoy.

How much wax melt should I use?

This depends on the size of your burner and your preferred fragrance strength. Start with a small amount and add more if needed. Avoid overfilling the burner and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your burner.

Can I use wax melts in any wax burner?

Wax melts should only be used in a suitable wax melt burner designed for the type of heat source you are using. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your burner.

Are your wax melts safe around children and pets?

Wax melts and wax burners should always be kept out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a lit tealight or heated wax burner unattended and keep the burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Can I leave my wax melt burner unattended?

No. Never leave a lit tealight or heated wax melt burner unattended. Extinguish the tealight before leaving the room or going to sleep, and allow the wax and burner to cool completely before moving them.

Can I use water with my wax melts?

No. Never add water to your wax melt burner. Wax melts are designed to be used on their own with a suitable wax burner.

Why might my wax melts look slightly different from one another?

As our wax melts are hand-poured by us in Guernsey, slight variations in colour, finish, shape or appearance may occur. These natural variations are part of the handmade nature of our products and do not affect their quality or fragrance.
