FAQ - Diffusers

Frequently Asked Questions – Diffusers

How do I care for my reed diffuser?

Remove the stopper and place the reeds into the bottle, allowing them time to absorb the fragrance.

For a fragrance boost, carefully flip your reeds every 1–2 weeks. The more reeds you use, the stronger the fragrance will be, although this may mean your diffuser is used more quickly.

Keep your diffuser away from direct sunlight and heat sources and always place it on a stable, protected surface, as the diffuser liquid may damage painted or polished surfaces if spilled.

How long will my reed diffuser last?

This can vary depending on the size of your diffuser, the number of reeds used and where it is placed in your home.

Warmer rooms, direct sunlight and areas with lots of airflow can cause the fragrance to evaporate more quickly. Using fewer reeds can help create a more subtle fragrance while extending the life of your diffuser.

How many reeds should I use?

The number of reeds you use will affect the strength of the fragrance. Start with a few reeds and gradually add more until you achieve your preferred fragrance level. Using more reeds will create a stronger scent but will also cause the diffuser to run out more quickly.

How often should I turn the reeds?

For a fragrance boost, we recommend turning the reeds every 1–2 weeks. Always turn them carefully over the bottle to avoid dripping fragrance onto surrounding surfaces.

Can I use fewer reeds?

Yes. Using fewer reeds will provide a more subtle fragrance and can help your diffuser last longer. You can adjust the number of reeds to suit the size of the room and your personal preference.

Where should I place my reed diffuser?

Place your diffuser on a stable, level and protected surface in an area with good airflow. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, radiators, windowsills and areas where the bottle could easily be knocked over.

Can I refill my diffuser bottle?

Yes. Our diffuser refill bottles are available separately, allowing you to refill your favourite diffuser bottle. We recommend cleaning and completely drying the bottle before refilling and using fresh reeds for the best fragrance experience.

Can I move my diffuser after setting it up?

Yes, but take care when moving it. Keep the bottle upright and avoid spilling the fragrance oil, as it may damage certain surfaces.

What should I do if I spill diffuser liquid?

Wipe up any spills immediately using an appropriate cloth or paper towel. Diffuser liquid may damage painted, varnished or polished surfaces, so avoid allowing it to sit on furniture or other surfaces.

Are reed diffusers safe around children and pets?

Reed diffusers should always be kept out of reach of children and pets. Do not allow children or pets to play with or knock over the diffuser, and avoid placing it somewhere where it can be easily accessed or tipped over.

Why does my diffuser smell stronger in some rooms than others?

The size, temperature and airflow of a room can all affect how strongly your diffuser fragrance is perceived. A diffuser may smell stronger in a smaller or warmer room and more subtle in a larger or well-ventilated space.
